The palace also has 40 acres of gardens, a swimming pool, the Royal Mews stables, and the Queen's Gallery, which has 450 artworks on display at any given time.
It is not known when the pool at Balmoral was built but it is thought to be around the same time as the house was completed in 1851. The architect was Thomas Harrison who had previously worked with Lord Byron at Newstead Abbey. He used local materials such as stone and timber from the estate and hired local workers to build the structure. The depth of the pool is about 1.5 metres or 5 feet and it can be expanded by adding water barrels from the lake.
The garden at Balmoral was designed by John Edward Gray and he made many changes during his tenure as head gardener from 1854 to 1872. In addition to designing new plants and trees, he also changed the shape of the lawn and added attractions such as fountains and statues. He was replaced by William Robinson who continued to work on the garden until his death in 1889. After that time, the job was left unsupervised until 1903 when George IIIVilliams took over as head gardener. He managed the garden until his death in 1920 after which time it was closed for remodelling.

The bathroom has been described as the "ugliest object" on earth, designed by the Scottish architect Robert Adam for his prestigious London hotel, the Royal Crescent. He created an elegant room with marble columns, a large copper bath and a glass-fronted cabinet full of amenities such as toothbrushes and combs. But perhaps its most unusual feature is the door which opens onto a toilet cubicle!
In fact, every aspect of the bathroom design is unique; no two bathrooms at the castle are the same. This is because Mr Adam wanted each room to have a personal touch, even down to the tiling pattern in the toilets!
The castle bathroom was also one of the first with separate showers and toilets. Previously these had been combined into one unitary space with a sliding partition to divide it into two parts.
Balmoral Castle was built between 1806 and 1824 by King George III for his daughter Princess Charlotte and her husband Prince William Henry, Duke of Cumberland and Teviotdale.

There are about 14,000 objects in all at Hampton Court Palace, from paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and Titian to furniture built for James I's Great Hall. The palace grounds include ornamental gardens and open spaces such as Queen's Gardens and Henry VIII's Maze. There are also timber-framed buildings to explore, including the Little Gallery that was used by King Charles II as a hiding place when he were trying to avoid his parliaments during the English Revolution.
Hampton Court Palace is located just outside London on Royal Parks Estate. The palace is free to enter and all funds raised through the sale of merchandise at the palace gift shop goes directly back into maintaining the site. The shop is not required to close every day but does need to be shut each night by 9:00 PM.

The palace was built between 1748 and 1837 by George II's architect, Robert Adam. Under William and Mary, James II, and Queen Anne, more rooms were added to the original structure. In 1851, Prince Albert enhanced the appearance of the Palace by adding the State Dining Room, which used to be called the Great Gallery. He also had a private apartment attached to his bedroom called the Memento Mori (or "Grief to Grieves" in English). The apartment contained symbols of hope (such as flowers and toys) as well as memories and photographs of Princess Alice, who died when their son Prince Edward was only two years old.

Highclere Castle is situated on a 6,000-acre estate. The castle is 30,000 square feet in size and includes 300 rooms, with 61 of them being bedrooms on the higher floors. As of 2009, around 50 of those rooms were unusable. The ground floor contains several large reception rooms, a library, a drawing room, a dining room, a cinema/theatre, a music room, a gym, a staff wing with offices and a kitchen.
The first floor consists of a series of corridors and rooms including a throne room, a museum, a study, a gallery, a ballroom, and five bedrooms. The second floor has more corridors and rooms including a chapel, a maid's room, a butler's pantry, and nine more bedrooms.
As you can see, Highclere Castle has a lot of rooms. It is one of the largest castles in England (if not the largest) and it was built during the Victorian era. The owner at that time, the D'Oyly Carte family, wanted to show off their wealth to other people. They hired an architect to design the castle and gave him some general ideas about what kind of things they wanted in it. The architect then made his own decisions about which parts of the plan should be put into action.
There are several towers inside the walls of the castle.
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert established the house of worship in 1844 in what was originally intended to be a conservatory. The place of worship was completely destroyed during the Blitz. It has been restored in the palace's south-eastern wing. The Palace also has a full-sized swimming pool that is open to both servants and Royals. The pool was built in 1951 by Sir John Burnet with money raised by Queen Elizabeth II herself. It covers about an acre and is surrounded by trees.
Buckingham Palace is one of London's most famous landmarks and it has been the monarch's home since 1837 when they moved in from Windsor Castle. The Church of England church was designed in the Gothic style by Thomas Henry Liddell and Henry Jones. It features a nave, two aisles, a transept, and a western tower with an entrance door on each side of the bell chamber. The interior of the church is decorated with woodcarvings by Robert Adam and George Frederick Bodley.
The site where Buckingham Palace stands now used to be part of a large estate called Stoneywood. The land had been acquired by Charles Brandon in 1660 from King Charles II who had inherited it from his father James II. In 1714, Charles Brandon (who at this time was working as Master of the Horse to King George I) bought an additional section of land from another member of the Royal Family named William FitzMaurice.
