However, it might also be a chance. When you consider that typical ground floor story heights are around 2.4m from completed floor to ceiling (which optimizes wall boards that are also 2.4m), you have plenty of room above for an appealing roof design and, of course, the option of vaulting the rooms within. The average bungalow floor plan measures about 45 feet by 60 feet, although sizes range from less than 20 square feet to nearly 100 square feet.
Bungalows were originally small houses built in the New England countryside for farmers as housing for their slaves. Now coming to the question that how high does a house have to be in order to not be considered as a building? The answer is 200 feet. According to the law of gravity, if a house is more than 200 feet high then it cannot be supported by its own structure but needs external help from the ground or a pillar.

A storey or level is typically 10 ft or 3 m long, with an interior ceiling height of 8 ft and a 2 foot allowance for infrastructure above or below the space. This 8ft ceiling height is based on the average height of 240 cm in the UK; the lowest utilized is 210 cm, and the maximum is 260 cm. A floor is typically made up of 12 x 15-inch tiles or other similar sized materials. A terrace can be as small as a single storey or as high as 5 or 6 floors depending on how many rooms you want to include it in.
The average height of a terraced house in the United Kingdom is 4 stories with 18 meters (60 feet) to 20 meters (65 feet) high. The average size is 30 square meters (330 square feet).
In the United States, the average height of a terraced house is 9 stories with 160 feet high. The average size is 400 square feet.
Terraces were originally built as housing for workers in factories and offices who needed more space than was available upstairs. They are now also found as lower-cost housing in their own right.
The oldest known evidence of terracing in Britain has been dated to 3150 BC and it is believed that this practice originated in Egypt around 3000 BC. It is estimated that there are about 15,000 preserved examples of British terraced houses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The height of all rooms for human habitation should not be less than 2.75 m measured from the surface of the floor to the lowest point of the ceiling, according to the National Building Code of India 2005. (bottom of the slab). The average height of rooms under a pitched roof must be no less than 2.75 m. However, this does not apply to bathrooms, toilets, and other rooms used by people who are not present at home.
In addition, buildings with three or more floors above ground level are required by law to have emergency exits that can be accessed in an emergency from outside the building.
The requirement for emergency exits is included in various local laws in most countries. In Canada, for example, there are requirements related to fire safety and rescue operations that apply to all buildings over 18 m high. These include having working fire alarms on all levels, escape routes that can be accessed in an emergency from outside the building, and smoke-detection systems in all rooms.
In the United States, buildings over 10 stories high must have an automatic fire alarm system installed in each apartment or room. The system must have functioning pull stations in each apartment or room for opening doors and windows from inside when leaving a place where there is smoke or fire. These systems must be tested at least once every year by a certified technician.
In Europe, buildings must have their roofs covered with fire-resistant material, such as tile, concrete, or steel.
